If the aircraft cannot be identified because the transponders were turned off, how can the RMAF (Royal Malaysian Air Force) know it is non-hostile or that it was even a civilian aircraft?

This culture of not admitting mistakes, not telling the truth and covering up mistakes or worse, crimes, has to change with the tragedy of MH370.

Our leaders are very fond of denying saying the very things which has become a controversy and blame the press for misreporting, and for quoting them out of context, etc.

Eleven Chinese travel agents told Reuters that bookings between China and Malaysia had fallen severely, and that many people have cancelled their trips, amid anger at the perceived lack of information provided by the Malaysian government to passengers' families.

"Tourists don't even consider going there. Many also have a negative impression of the country now," said Chen with Comfort Travel, in the southern city of Guangzhou, which focuses heavily on South-East Asia tours.

“Inside a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) control room on the country’s west coast, where American-made F-18s and F-5 fighters stood at a high level of readiness for emergencies exactly like the one unfolding in the early morning of March 8, a four-person air defence radar crew did nothing about the unauthorised flight,” the report says.

This failure was not only a breach in air space security, which would make Malaysia vulnerable to attacks, but it also meant the country lost a precious opportunity to intercept Flight MH370 which had then flown into the vast unknown.
