Yup! BJLand share price was 60sens or more when JDC Jeju project was suspended in 2015. Now everything is clear and at least RM465.5M compensation from JDC in August, RM600M from GMOC. A total of RM1.065b Billion coming back to BJLand the price will recover faster than BJCorp...

OceanSky Refer to BLand latest closures again.

1. For GMOC, total proceeds shall be of RM600 million (inclusive of interests);
Less it's liability of RM108 million; gross inflow to BLand (with partners) is RM492 million;
Less 49% minority interest; nett inflow to BLand is RM251 million.

2. For Jeju case, total proceeds is not disclosed, let assume is at RM600 million (around there);
Less it's liability of RM112 million; gross inflow to BLand (with partners) is RM488 million;
Less minority interest; nett inflow to BLand is RM362 million.

3. Therefore, in BLand book receivable, it shall be RM1,200 million;
Par down of liability is RM220 million;
Less minority interest, of RM367 million;
Nett inflow to BLand is RM613 million.

With above re-phasing, it shall be better clarity for all.

Yup! Pls. note that BJLand practices Accruval Accounting to recognize gains and losses in the period it occurred irregardless when actual cash is received. You don't simply change the accounting rules to suit your convenience..

Back in 2017, BJLand made impairment losses of RM600 million on non payment on sale of GMOC to Beijing SkyOcean against operating profit to convert it's Qtr report to a loss. At that time BJLand was trading at 38 sens against 17 sens now due to non payment..

Likewise, since awarded an Arbitration win by HKIAC against Beijing SkyOcean on payment of RM650 million including interest on 21 May 2020. The previous impairment loss provision of at least RM600 million in BJLand's accounts will be reversed in the coming Qtr. Report, irregardless of when money is actually received as the Arbitration win of at least RM650 million is secured against Beijing SkyOcean frozen assets valued 20x more than the Arbitration win by China People's Court. Any secured Arbitration award is assured by the power of China's Peoples Court to collect on sum of money owed to BJLand including interest!

Yup! BJLand utiliize Accruval Accounting to recognize gains and losses in the period it occurred irregardless when actual cash is received.

Since the GMOC Arbitration win was awarded by HKIAC on 21 May 2020. At least RM600 million will be recorded as gains in Qtr 4 offsetting any reduction in income from other investments to show profit in coming Qtr.

by proposing an unfavourable Singer deal which may not even happens like most VT proposals for BJMedia etc..
while quietly collecting & sharebuyback by company from foreign investors such as BlackRock which sold down BJcoprp from 60 million shares in April to less than 9 million shares by June.

Once the cheap shares gone, u think others will sell cheap too? once VT announce the good news? Don't have to listen to others including me, but think over it rationally...

"BLand is pleased to announce that GMOC has on 21 May 2020 obtained a favourable arbitration award from the HKIAC (“Final Award”), details of which are as follows:-

(i) Beijing SkyOcean shall pay to GMOC the outstanding balance amount of RMB974.07 million;

(ii) Beijing SkyOcean shall pay liquidated damages on the outstanding balance amount calculated at the People’s Bank of China’s lending rate of 4.75% per annum from the payment due date of 28 November 2017 until the date full payment is made;

Yup! Don't forget even BJCorp controls 78% of BJLand, BJCorp can't use BJLand's 50% share of sales proceeds of RM2.06 billion from FSKyoto unless it takes over 100% share in BJLand through prrivatisation due to the Veil of Incorporation under Company Law.

The only way BJCorp can get BJLand's share of the profits from FSKyoto is by way of a Special Dividend from BJLand...Further BJLand is getting RM650 million from Beijing SkyOcean which BJCorp is not party. So who benefits more?

Yup! Actually all is not loss. If you study the announcement by BJCorp on proposed Singer Acquisition dated 2 June 2020, it's only a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which is legally not binding... They have another 2 months to negotiate a Transaction Agreement with option to extend another month to sign this Agreement. Meaning only September to finalize Agreement? Also with conditions subject to due diligence, shareholders approval in EGM, SC approval for issue of new shares etc..etc...all to be finalized withing 6 months...so in actual fact if the proposed deal realky goes through will only happen in December 2020? So don't have to cry FAMA yet...

1. Sale of FS Kyoto for RM1.87 Billion.
The plan will start with asset sale at his flagship Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp). According to Tan, the group is in the midst of sealing a deal to sell its Four Seasons Hotel and Hotel Residences Kyoto for about US$700 million (RM2.93 billion) to US$800 million, which will translate into a divestment gain of US$400 million

2. Buyout 7-Eleven?
After the sale of the hotel in Kyoto, BCorp will have an expanded war chest to buy out 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings, whose share price has slipped to a 15-month low of RM1.27.

To do that, Tan will sell his majority 46% stake in 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings to BCorp, which will then launch a takeover offer to buy out the convenience store chain operator. Based on yesterday’s closing of RM1.27, 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings’ market capitalisation stood at RM1.56 billion. Tan’s stake is valued at RM756.8 million.

3. BJLand to Privatize after winning RM650 million from GMOC Arbitration & share of 50% sale of FSKyoto for RM1.87 Billion?

Meanwhile, BCorp may carve out the hotel assets from BLand, in which it controls a 70.32% stake, and float the assets in Singapore. BLand, which is trading at a sharp 77.8% discount to its net asset per share of 81 sen, will be taken private.

4. Resolve BJMedia listing status?
Furthermore, Tan intends to inject his private business into Berjaya Media Bhd (BMedia) given that the company’s media business has not fared well. Tan holds a 38.92% stake in BMedia, while BCorp holds an 18.06% stake.
