Yup! Keep up the good work! Sedikit2, Lama2 jadi Bukit! Already buyback 4% only 6% more to go before cancellation & shares swap?
Btw VT is very generous lately with shares buyback for Berjaya group shares and even waived rent for all Tenants of Berjaya Times Square during MCO period. More cash from Jeju Compensation & GMOC arbitration coming soon?

Do look at the Gamechanger ATM...RM26 million spend on buying 7-11 & BJFood shares when cheap is an investment. These investment in shares of essential services which are still allowed to operate and making money during MCO when other bizs are closed can be monetized with a profit anytime when the share market recovers. All people with finance & investment background should realize this...

Correction:
There''s about 14% BJLand shares left in open market not held by VT & BJCorp (since already jointly controls 86%)
Since there are 5 Billion BJLand issued, 14% equals 700 million shares and not 1.2 Billion shares or 24% left in open market. If BJCorp buys back 10% or 521 million shares and cancels them. Then reissues 521 million BJCorp shares in shares swap with remaining BJLand Shareholders, BJCorp only needs pay cash for remaking 179 million shares for the diffence.
kahhoeng wantanmi, BJCorp issued approximately 200 million shares when exchanging Penta's BJLand holding. There are currently another 1.2 billion BJLand shares not held by BJCorp. If Penta's exchange ratio is the minimum reference exchange ratio, BJCorp will need to issue another 1.5 billion BJCorp shares. Buying back 10% of BJCorp shares is only 521 million shares. BJCorp buying back speed is very slow, doubt it's really into buying back shares to avoid dilution if its inclined to privatize BJLand...

Once buyback 10% of BJCorp shares cancel them then reissue again to BJLand shareholders through a share swap plus some cash since their floating shares left also round 10%?

Since BJCorp & VT gang already controls more than 85%. Chances of share swap & delisting very high if BJCorp keeps on buying...also with suspension of short selling and VT collaborators
Penta only left 0.01% or 451k shares while Dimensional Fund has 0.42% or 21 million shares there is not much free floating shares left to Buy/Sell by players.

Yup! Not many punters are buying this time...which is a good thing as mostly weak holders...but it's the best time for those who bought high to average down their cost for share swap/delisting exercise once the Jeju Compensation comes. .since 85% BJLand shares already in BJGroup hands & 8.9% with Institutions & 3% with hardcore retail, there are not much free floating shares left in market as short selling has been suspended by SC/Bursa

Don't worry this time, not VT & Gang is buying. It's BJCorp the holding company which has the share swap/delisting card, if they can get minority to sell at current low price. Now is the bes buying time before the Jeju Compensation comes. The good news is that Short Selling has been suspended by SC/Bursa.so Macais can't short sell anymore given 8.9% Institutional & 3% hardcore retail shareholders would not sell unless the price is right & mind you most of them are holding the shares bought at 60 sens or more?

Solution: Request SC to suspend short selling on all Berjaya Shares to prevent abuse by VT Nominee a/cs & brokerage held shares.
"Brokerages held stocks through nominees that could be used for selling and creating a false sense of the stock’s price coming under pressure.
“Stocks that are held in nominee accounts can be sold causing the stock prices to fall. Later the short-selling traders will come in to buy the stocks. The entire process circumvents the existing rules put in place to prevent the abuse of short selling.
“Worse is they speculate false news on the particular stock through social media. It brings about a false sense of selling pressure and helps them to sell down the stock with minimal shares, ”

There are 2 separate issues to settle:
1. Seoul Central District Court postponed the due adjudication to see both of the parties can make a deal out as much as 350 billion KRW(appx. 310m US$). It was supposed to make the final conclusion on February 6th.
This is drawn out after JDC and BJR met for an agreement. Moon Daerim, the CEO of JDC made a visit to Berjaya Corporation Bhd in Malaysia last December. He is said to have met Vincent Tan, the executive chairman, and exchanged ways to figure the conflict out.
2. JDC to avoid additional lawsuits involving Berjaya and landowners.
" BJR estimated its loss on the resort project as much as over 4 trillion KRW(appx. 36 bi. US$), which may lead to additional lawsuits. To avoid it, JDC has been ceaselessly contacting landowners, Jejueconomy added.'

Jeju Free International City Development Centre(JDC) may have found an exit from the legal case with Berjaya Jeju Resort(BJR), Jejueconomy, a local internet newspaper, on Monday, reported.
According to the article, Seoul Central District Court postponed the due adjudication to see both of the parties can make a deal out as much as 350 billion KRW(appx.
They agreed to examine them to minimize the possible damages to the both organizations and will proceed more negotiations.
The weak side is that BJR estimated its loss on the resort project as much as over 4 trillion KRW(appx. 36 bi. US$), which may lead to additional lawsuits. To avoid it, JDC has been ceaselessly contacting landowners, Jejueconomy added.

"As retail investor, we got to sit tight and understand each move of the major share-holder.
Regret to say, VT will not act according to minority request.
He will only plan forward his final goal to merge BjLand into BjCorp.
What minority shall focus is on the closing deals of Jeju and GMOC.
These two deals will bring in full proceeds to BjLand, not to BjCorp.

Thxs for confirming that BJLand's net debt is ONLY 700-800 million vs BJCorp's net debt should be around 1 billion. Smart money should know which is the better deal at current price
kahhoeng BJCorp debt is not as high as shown in balance sheet.
1. BJToto carries a net debt of over 700 million that's reflected into BJCorp's balance sheet.
2. BJLand also carries a net debt of over 2 billion, of which is BJToto's (BJLand's net debt would have been 1.6-1.7 billion if BJToto's excluded. If Kyoto Four Season is sold with cash transferred, and BJLand is really receiving 900 million (I have yet to see an announcement on BURSA,) BJLand's net debt is ONLY 700-800 million.
3. BJCorp's net debt is around 4.2 billion, but that includes BJToto and BJLand's. If they were excluded, BJCorp's net debt is around 1.8-1.9 billion. Should the proceed from Kyoto Four Season channeled back, BJCorp's net debt should be around 1 billion.
Question is: How much BJCorp and BJLand have received from the disposal.

BjCorp reported Kyoto Sales of RM1.87 Billion, (it is as group level).
The Kyoto Hotel is 50:50 split between BjCorp and BjLand.
Therefore, both BjCorp and BjLand shall share the cash payment of RM935 million each.
At the end of the deal, which have been done, each party have RM210 million nett gain.
This is the beauty of Listing announcement.
As BjLand hold 50% of Kyoto Hotel, but they only classify this Kyoto Hotel as Associated Co.
The reason is back to year 2015, BjLand have run out of cash/capital to continue on the
construction of the Kyoto Hotel. They seek for help from BjCorp, to take-over 50% shares of Kyoto Hotel and finish up the Hotel in year 2017.
