Tks for the feedback. I read TMC annual report (2015) and was impressed with the projection for the upcoming JB hospital. Its just that at the current price, TMC is a bit like overshooting the runway. On top off that there are a number of hospitals coming up in JB in the next few years so competition is gonna be tough. The redeeming quality for TMC if compared with other hospitals is probably it being run by the Thompson medical group. Cheers!

Am very tempted to collect TMC but I have some questions which needed TMC sifu to explain:
1. what should be the acceptable PE for health industries? IHH is ard 52, KPJ at 32 whereas TMC is at 170. Doesn't that make TMC overpriced?
2. I understand they are going to have a future hospital in JB that may justify such high price currently but with only two hospitals, how much prospects would it bring to the shareholders? I don't think its possible to expect TMC to give any dividends in the next few years.
3. with the current economy, private hospitals are seeing a drop in patients (if not mistaken abt 20% drop). If Msia economy is not picking up the next few years, would the Singaporean patients filled up the shortfall? Since Spore economy is also on the decline, won't they seek treatment in their own government hospitals too?

Looking at the current situation, glove stocks should be in an uptrend mode cos more patients will seek treatment the moment they have fever or zika related symptoms. Even though it is not a contagious disease, the need for gloves definitely will increase with more patients seeking blood tests. The question is how long and how wide spread will zika be? The magnitude may be astounding since there is no vaccine and it is spread easily by aedes mosquitoes. We always have problems tackling dengue, so we may have the same problems with zika. Google search zika virus epidemic so you would have a clearer understanding of it.

the demand for gloves increase due to the fact more blood tests had to be carried out to determine if patients have the virus. Medical professions SOP is wearing of gloves for every patients they see. So if Zika spread to more countries, there will be a higher demand for gloves.

Managed to get some at .410 on Friday. Added more at.420 today. Factors that make L&G attractive are the constant dividend, low entry price, potential reassessment of it land banks and low PE. So assuming L&G continue to give dividend more attractive than FD, there is no loss in holding this stock for a few years. Say I hold for 2 years, what will be the likelihood of it doubling up during that duration?

Worry not Gogogogo!. I believed most ppl who trade or invest would and should do some homework first. Their hard earned money is at staked here. There are a lot of great sifu at I3 whom I admire cause they share their knowledge so generously that newbies like us can learn. But there are also a lot who mislead or shout incessantly. It is also good to highlight these scammers because through their writings, many ppl lost their money. Over the course of one and a half years, I learnt to spot some of them. Its funny reading the arguments here initially but after a while it becomes very tiresome because it doesn't bring any benefits to the readers. So just skip these pests' postings and ignore them. Tks Eric, i notice you are a LT shareholder of L&G. With that amount of cash, I am sure they are at the best position to capitalized on the funds. Will try and study more before buying.

Can any sifu enlighten newbie here why L&G with its attractive dividend yield (5.12%) is trading at such low price?. From what The Edge wrote on 25th July, L&G is on a net cash position of RM288.5 million, which is 67.4% of its current market capitalisation of RM427.9 million, With a very healthy balance sheet, its prospects for future acquisition and expansion should be good, right?
