As sarawak chief minister had said The transformation of Sarawak’s economy hinges on a high-speed telecommunication highway as much as the 2,800km Pan Borneo Highway, said Deputy Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg.
He said Internet speed in rural areas should be at the very least 150Mbps (megabits per second) from the current 5Mpbs.

Besides, Scable has high potential to win the pan borneo project to allocate the telecommunication cable all the way from Kuching to Miri.

The new Guardrails and low and high tension steel towers will be needed in new pan borneo highways.
