Yipman The company could have distributed more profits to the shareholders this quarter if they had provided adequate allocation for the deferred tax. Their failure to do so have caused a lopsided bulk of the sizeable profit as underprovision for deferred tax. This is negligence of corporate responsibilty to protect the interests of the company and its shareholders. This negligence of corporate integrity is totally unacceptable as keeping healthy financials of a company is business basics 101.
To add further salt to injury, their negligent actions have not only caused the share price to plunge badly but also impacting losses to the shareholders. This has impaired the confidence of investors towards the stock, weaken the market capitalization of the company, its capital equity and may take some time to recover.

In my view, the LBALUM management has done a great disservice to all loyal shareholders through management inefficiency and misstep in corporate strategy .

Taking "underprovision," as meaning "to provide less than is necessary," it shows clearly the CFO and the BOD have seriously failed in their corporate responsibilities to the company and its shareholders.
Questions:
1. Why have the BOD failed to make adequate provisions?
2. If they've made adequate provisions for tax, would the company have to suffer such huge drop in profit despite having increased revenue and earnings before tax?
3. If the BOD has been efficient, would LBAlum have to suffer such a big impact of price drop?
4. If the BOD has been sensitive and appreciative of shareholders support, need shareholders be put under such unnecessary anxiety and anguish?
The point is:
LBAlum has all the necessary good conditions to achieve a really solid outperformance this quarter but failed disappointingly owing to inefficient management. Hoping the management will redeem themselves in the next quarter.
We cannot blame those who throw their shares in panic at unbelievable dipping lows. Different people have different investing goals or motives and different time horizons.

I agree with you. We've a more matured discourse here. No vulgarities, no emotional tantrums, no conflicts of interest. Above all, we have a superb sense of unity with support for all. In some forums, there are members who are emotionally intertwined with their personal investing aims only. Today busy with some strategic internet banking funds transfer related to unit trust investments and money market. This active asset allocation management strategy has helped me to earn some low risk, no sweat income distributions from unit trust funds. The PB Cash Management Fund, PB Islamic Asia Equity Fund and the Phillip Mutual Master Money Market Fund. As expected, Public Mutual declared RM147million income distributions for 13 funds. Received 3.5 sen from PB Cash Management Fund, and 1.0 sen from PB Islamic Asia Equity Fund.
