In my limited understanding, PE per se is not a comprehensive balanced perspective to determine the valuation of a stock. PE by itself is rather superficially subjective, not objectively dependable; it's also relative to a confluence of other complementary factors at work for it to be validable and reliable for an investing decision. Therefore, the so-called high or low PE ratio of one stock over another stock is a bit overstretching as well as overgeneralizing the principle of PE value to determine an undervalued stock. The bottom line is still how the actual realtime market mechanisms that sustains the day-to-day price of a stock which can verified digitally or visually on charts, data analytics, revealing tangible growth potential and visible revenue earnings. As it is, ALCOM is that ONE stock that commands my unstinted support and full-hearted conviction.

For about the next two and half months, let us hope Alcom will never fail to continue blazing with new milestones of higher highs and higher, higher highs. At present Alcom is already defying all conventional expectations, scaling up boldly as it breaks furiously beyond chart technical limitations and investors forecast. I believe all Alcom members with persistent convictions are heading for an exciting BONANZA!

Yes, indeed Alcom is in inexplicable uncharted territory and anything, something or whatever thing is seemingly possible. As it is YTD, Alcom has already hit a never before all-time high of 2.11 in five years. Fundamental strengths has all the catalytic momentum to take Alcom to greater highs.
Of course, Alcom is in a very passionate hurry to reach its destination. Bloomberg chart RSI, volume, change rate & MACD indicators all speak in one affirmative voice to steeply ascend up the moving average curve.

5. APPROVALS REQUIRED AND CONDITIONALITY
The Proposed Capital Repayment is subject to the following approvals being obtained:-
(i) approval of the shareholders of the Company at the forthcoming EGM;
(ii) sanction of the High Court pursuant to Section 116 of the Act; and

I look forward to the second wave after ex-date 3 July 2017. That is the cash repayment. I noticed that some people got news of Alcom's special dividend and cash repayment a bit late.

They may have missed the juicy 20.5 sen dividend. Never mind, there is another opportunity for them to make it good this time. That's the cash repayment which is implemented separately from the dividend payout.

The mandatory approval for the cash repayment has already been obtained at the 22 June 2017 EGM. The ex-date for cash repayment will only be determined on the day the High Court gave its approval.

The last step is the submission of the High Court approval to the Companies Commission of Malaysia. The whole process is expected to be completed by September.

Investors who missed the special dividend can still take advantage of the cash repayment with share price adjusted lower after dividend payout.

Page 7 of Circular to Shareholders says, "For illustration purposes and based on the closing market price of Alcom Shares as at the LPD of RM1.40, the market price of Alcom Shares will be adjusted to RM1.195 pursuant to the Proposed Special Dividend, and further adjusted to RM0.875 pursuant to the Proposed Capital Repayment."

KUALA LUMPUR: Aluminium Company of Malaysia Bhd (Alcom), whose shares jumped to an all-time high three days ago, is bullish on its financial year 2018 (FY18) upon maintaining its profit momentum in FY17 (ended March 31, 2017), driven by higher sales of its coated fin stock due to growing demand for air conditioners worldwide.

Coated fin stock is used mainly for the fin production of heat exchanger and also commonly used in the production of condenser and evaporator for air conditioners and refrigerators. A major player in this business, Alcom supplies to most of the leading air-conditioner manufacturers across Asia and Europe.

Alcom managing director Heon Chee Syong said the group is optimistic about its business’ future prospects due to rising demand for air conditioners, as they become more affordable and coated fin stock cheaper to produce.

“Even low-cost houses have air conditioners. So, [the production cost of] air conditioners has come down but demand has increased, especially in markets such as India — it’s huge,” he told reporters after Alcom’s annual general meeting yesterday. He added that the group is looking to expand its reach beyond Asean and European markets in the near future.

Higher sales of coated fin stock was the main contributor to the jump in Alcom’s earnings of 4.5 times in FY17, when net profit grew to RM11.69 million from RM2.57 million in FY16, as its coated fin volume shipment grew 41% on-year.

Moving forward, Heon said Alcom hopes to maintain this momentum of profitability in FY18. It is also investing RM18 million to expand capacity of its coated fin stock business, via a new production line added to its existing facility in Bukit Raja, Selangor.

The new line is expected to be fully commissioned in two financial years. The group expects to see returns from the new line, which will add 12,000 tonnes to its annual coated fin stock capacity, about a year after being fully commissioned, said Heon.

The group also intends to develop its segment for building products used in roofing, ceiling and the insulation of industrial, commercial and residential projects. The segment, said Heon, has much potential, though it will depend on the property and construction markets’ condition.

Alcom shares closed up one sen or 0.51% at RM1.97. On Tuesday, the stock peaked at RM2.02. Year to date, the stock has jumped near 117%. At current price, it has a market capitalisation of RM264.63 million.

Very quiet last evening. The scenario for the day trading.
The FBM KLCI fell 5.14 points or 0.3% and lower crude oil prices hit Bursa Malaysia oil and gas-related shares.

At 5pm, the KLCI closed at 1,775.57 points.

Tenaga shares fell after the state-controlled utility said the Employees Provident Fund and Permodalan Nasional Bhd cut their respective stakes in Tenaga.

On the broader market, analysts said investors could be taking profit across Bursa Malaysia ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays starting this Sunday (June 25).

Even though market sentiment cut across the board, Alcom's closing at 1.96 with the day high 2.02 was still decent and firm.
