This month June,the US market will be highly volatile where it can drop near 200 point and rebound like yo-yo due to Quadraple Witching season so do not expect miracles as yet in the local bourse.
The timing for good news and theme play will temporary pause .

With the QE,interest rates in US is 0% so surely all the tuna,baby sharks,mackerel will like to come to the shores of Southeast Asia finding rich plankton in the warm and sunny Sunda platform.

the treasury yield was low but never reach zero. much of the $ flow into U.S stock market itself. how much would klci be affected is a question, US up 7 months straight while klci first line bluechips up 5 months, frankly 2nd liner only 1 month post GE.

T -bills one month rate 0.03/5%,Agree with you iafx,US investors pump a record US35billion into the stock market in the biggest bull markets of the century.
As for Malaysian market the local funds will be very supportive during the early first and second year tenure of the new government to make it stand out among regional peers.
That's why we also see it goes against other international trends.

not sure why printed $ was supposed to ease borrowings (bonds) so that businesses could carry on and hire ppl for jobs. now what's seen is at least 50% of the $ got into stock markets?! in this sense, qe has better scale down if all it does is blowing bubble. while certainly it will affect klci, believe the impacts will be short live, counters with real projects on hand will come back even higher

juz a cheap view, yr $ yr choice :)
