there is a saying " buy high, sell higher " higher oil prices does not necessary equal to lower profit. what's important is business confidence and outlook of the market

might as well just stop investing if you view the economy like that. oil price up = transportation costs increased = lower profitability.
put it another way, when oil price goes up, government revenue up, banking sectors experience stronger ringgit, overall economy strengthens, people have more money to spend. you will have another picture.
Do not put consumer stocks, or plantation stocks in this view. their main cost is not related to oil.
