These are some of the things Peter Lynch said about a perfect stock
1. It sounds dull, or even better, ridiculous
2. It is an easy to understand business
3. The institutions don’t own it, and the analysts don’t follow.
4. It’s a no-growth industry
5. It’s got a niche
6. People have to keep buying it
7. It’s a user of technology
8. It is a owner-orientated management
a. Managers should be penny-pinchers in the executive suite.
b. Good management treats staff with respect and fairness
c. The insiders are buyers
d. The company is buying back shares
e. Surplus cash flows return to shareholders
In my opinion, Pintaras fits well in many of the good qualities above. Pintaras did announce that it will increase its share capital base and I believe they are thinking about bonus issues. They can easily afford that as there is huge amount of retained earnings. However, is that really that crucial in increasing shareholder value? Giving you a whole cake or cutting it into pieces and give you all doesn't make any difference to me. We should look into Pintaras business to decide if its shares are worthwhile to invest, rather than thinking too much about if it gives bonus shares or not?
