凯里：通过全球冠病疫苗机制　大马将可获10%人口疫苗

（吉隆坡16日讯）科学、工艺及革新部长凯里指出，我国在参与了全球冠病疫苗机制（COVAX）后，将可通过该机制获得国内10%人口的新冠肺炎疫苗。

他指出，政府的目标是要达到70%的国人能够接种疫苗，因此，我国正通过其他管道获取另外60%人口的疫苗。

他说，政府希望能在明年首两个季度，能获得疫苗的供应，惟这必须获得国家药品监管局（NPRA）的批准。



他强调，国家药品监管局将通过临床实验的数据，严格鉴定疫苗的安全后，才会作出是否预购的决定。

凯里今日在国会下议院问答环节，如是回应行动党亚庇国会议员陈泓缣的提问。

他说，截至11月13日，世界卫生组织已宣布目前已有11个疫苗制造商进入第3期的临床实验工作。而截至目前，政府已和其中10个制造商进行洽谈。

凯里也说，有数个洽谈已进入最后阶段，一旦有结果，政府将会在近期作出相关宣布。

“有8个制造商是由政府直接接洽，另外2个制造商是通过COVAX洽谈。”
