The question is not about his character, ET. He is an upright, straightforward, honest, no hanky panky kind of accountant. According to what I hv heard from folks who know him personally.

Problem is, he has been trapped between a rock & a hard place. With not much room to wriggle. What first caught him in mid-August 2014 was HLB Investment Bank's completely unexpected decision to pull out their margin facility for a list of certain designated penny stocks, including one of them Suma.

That sent shock waves through Bursa, and caused the first initial tumbling down of prices from their peak at the time. And then, about a month or so afterward, Saudi-led OPEC came up with their stupidest-in-history price dropping strategy, ostensibly to 'kill off' rivals & monopolise market share. Which in fact was, they did not realise it then, a suicidal move that actually ended up half killing many OPEC economies, including Saudi itself.

Instead of waiting Sumatec's PN17 to expire in 7 months time and this company being delisted.
It's better for Bursa Malaysia to check today, if at all in the 1st place Sumatec has any business or agreement placed in Kazakhstan oil field.
If at all this Halim created a scam than better expose earlier Instead taking Retailers for a ride.

In a separate filing, Sumatec said it has entered into a memorandum of agreement with Liaohe Oilfield of CNPC, which is a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corp, for the latter to provide subsurface, drilling and production engineering works for the exploration and development of the Rakushechnoye O&G gas field.

"Prior to this, as a show of commitment on the project, CNPC-Liaohe has completed around 5,000 man-hours of reviewing and studying the data of the Rakushechnoye field and carrying out studies on several wells," Sumatec added.

Before getting delisted.
Is there a contract between Sumatec with any oil fields at all in Kazakhstan?
This is more important to know.
Kalau tak da baik bungkus sekarang tak payay drag!
