what he means is that this counter is not boring given that there's results announcement one month, price going ex next month and dividend payment the following month. The cycle is repeated 4 times each year.

DIVIDEND YIELD: in 2018 report, dividend yield is quite good, around 7.5%, however the dividend is ~93% of earning, not sure can be sustainable or not, as earning is decreasing year by year
CONSISTENCY: company pay dividend in last 10 years, however, the dividend per share on decreasing trend, from 2009 to 2018, decreased from 29 sen to 16sen

That's my strategy as well but some are of the opinion that the Magnum board has better integrity hence justified.

Magnum PE is high due to their one time loss on taxation in last Financial year.
If you check the Quarter Result this year, they shall stay at about the same PE ratio.

yes, dead slow growth in lottery companies but steady dividends income , i think it is like reits but less fluctuation , buy at current price can enjoy steady div and also a peace of mind , this stock suitable for retiree
