Guys. The increase in price of Brent Crude Oil is n part due to snow in Texas that shut shale oil production. There is still no new substantial contracts from Petronas as yet. Don't chase. Be careful Nothing has changed

KUALA LUMPUR: Uzma Bhd’s shares jumped over 11% in early trade Thursday after securing licences to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) into Malaysia.

The oil and gas service and equipment company rose 11.19%, or 7.5 sen to 74.5 sen with over 20 million shares traded.

Uzma’s wholly owned subsidiary Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd (UESB) has been awarded two licences by the Energy Commission (EC) to import LNG for regasification in the country, as well as to transport or distribute natural gas within Malaysia.

Uzma said the licences allow Uzma to bring LNG into a regasification terminal in or within Malaysia by any means other than by transhipment, and to transport or distribute natural gas via regasification terminal or pipelines to consumer premises within Malaysia, pursuant to the implementation of Third-Party Access (TPA) system.

Kenanga Research is positive over Uzma's licences from the EC as it allows the company to tap into the growing demand of LNG and also diversify its business downstream.

“Overall, while we are still unable to ascertain the immediate earnings impact to Uzma (dependent on Uzma’s implementation of the licences), we are positive on the development as this allows Uzma to tap into the growing LNG market,” it said.

Kenanga has maintained its “outperform” on Uzma with a higher target price of 80 sen from 72 sen previously.

Uzma before downturn was easily traded around RM1.50. Mind you thats purely with upstream business. With these new ventures and business outside upstream, the stock can get the right boost to move away from RM1 and regain the momentum to double that price up.... they just need to have good management in place for these businesses.

UZMA will become next Solar PV player just like Cypark if winning LSS4 tender which is due for result in Mac 2021. The tender is valued at RM 4 Bil by Energy Commission of Malaysia. Better grab fast before tender result released. I can see UZMA return to above RM1 in near future.
