the logic is, warrant only acts as a sweetener. you either purchase the mother share eventually or not. and in case you decides to purchase the mother share, they are raking in conversion commission from you all! if you dont purchase, they earn by selling the warrant. so its one of the instruments to make money out of you. (on top of that, now you see blatant market manipulation of price so that the take up is no good). same goes for call options! might as well go for the mother share directly unless you are a big stakeholder aiming to keep control!

This one is really a suckers game. When they issue the call/put warrants there is usually a hugh premium and the time period is short.

and you realise they usually almost never (unless start-ups usually) offer warrants during the bear market! why is that?
