Pavillion, you are dreaming. Look at your gov in Penang. What transparency or accountability you are talking about? Corruption? Tunnel? House no swimming pool? Also promises never fulfill, such as abolishing tolls. Even PAS actually did abolished poll once when they won in Terengganu, just like they promised they would. So basically, you are cheating all of us here because all the evidence is out there already for all to see.

In less than 24hrs, all Tun M ceramah was view by almost 500,000 people in FB alone.

Malay voters will make the different this time. Malay always comfortable with Tun M, the splits because they can't accept his treatment on Anwar but that already a history...now their team will bury BN 6 feet under.....actually will be good for Fgv.

China: Stopped buying soybeans from the US altogether because of trade fight. China is apparently no longer buying US soybeans amid the rise in trade tensions, Bloomberg reported Wed. China cancelled a net 62,690 metric tons of US soybean purchases in the two weeks ended April 19, the Bloomberg article pointed out, citing USDA data for the current marketing year. Soybean futures fell 1% Wednesday, but are up 8% on the year. In response to the Trump administration's proposed tariffs on USD50bn worth of Chinese imports, China's Ministry of Commerce announced duties in early April on 106 US products, including soybeans. No effective date was announced at the time. China is the second-largest market for US agricultural exports, and soybeans have historically been one of the top products sold to the Asian country. Pavillion, yes i wonder also why so many.
It seems like most malaysians are on Facebook and youtube all the time watching endlessly. Or is there bots doing that instead, paid for by money? I don't see a million or more Malaysians watching things everyday.
This sounds like trump and hillary. Sampai hillary clinton over confident will win. Apparently not as the ground is totally different than your little world in the internet.

Pavillion, that Jomo artikel is not proper. First, 3bil out of 250bil is really not much. If you want Malaysia to be well developed, it will grow bigger.
Second, have you check the growth in Penang or Selangor budgets? 300% increase on some agenda? Pemusatan kuasa crap. Itu sedap cakap, but really, that is how things works in reality.
Also Pavillion, do you know the word kletocracy does not exist in Malaysia before this? Who popularize it? apparently, the word come from a dept in DOJ, which seems to be hijacked by our ph politicians. Suddenly semua macam pandai with some fancy word, which majority in Malaysia do not know what it means.

Current KTM train freight volume for the whole of Malaysia is about 6.2 million metric tons. In order to achieve 53 million metric tons by 2030 for ECRL alone, freight volume will have to grow by about  20% compounded every year between now and 2030 (next 12 years)!

FGV is very risky and profit margin is so low.

Look for counter which has lower risk and higher potential gain

Pavillion, the Jomo article is too simplistic.
For example, the drop in FGV share price is not only for FGV. Other plantations and related comodity companies are all affected.
PT Eagle high share has dropped, from 1500 to 200 plus only, and now up to 300. Still, FGV idea of buying it is good, i am one of the supporter as a shareholder.
Noble group Limited Singapore, have a share price from 14 dollars, now down to only 50 cents. So this is not isolated events.

Latest FFB production data showed FGV is doing very well. The latest quarter production data is up by perhaps 24% from year ago. Means there is good profit potential.
The reason why share price is depressed is because of the strength of the ringgit. Exported palm oil will generate less in ringgit when converted from dollars. But the share price decline has overshoot, and will rebound because production has increased.

Regarding debt of 6 billion, it is not excessive. FGV have huge landbank, which can be developed and repurpose for other things. Even planting durian tress can yield good profit.

Regarding that article, it signifiy that Shahrir is hiding lots of stuffs. This is just a serkap jarang without proof. Sama macam Sreport cakap sedap but apparently zero bukti. Further, Felda is just a shareholder of FGV, so nampak related, but FGV is a listed entity with published financials.

Hi GoogCompanies, thanks for the info. Recently, I saw in the Bloomberg news that Malaysian Palm Oil stockpile dropped drastically. That means the inventories are much lesser now. In due time the price for oil palm will increased.

Big brother Sime Darby is moving up now. Soon the little sister FGV will be going up too.

Posted by GoodCompanies > 2018-05-04 16:46 | Report Abuse

B4b4, that Bloomberg sometimes knows nuts about palm oil. FYI at this time of the year, it is normal for the stockpile to be dropping, as production of palm oil normally highest at middle of the year season.

This is one year y/y FFB data from FGV.
