Shares of MPI and Unisem bucked the weaker broader market late Tuesday following a positive outlook for the global semiconductor industry.
At 3.42pm, MPI was up 12 sen to RM4.43. There were 885,400 shares done at prices ranging from RM4.15 to RM4.49. Unisem rose two sen to 96 sen. There were 150,040 shares done at prices ranging from 92 sen to 97 sen.

Muhibbah Engineering Bhd's unit has secured a RM30mil contract for part of Petroliam Nasional Bhd's liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Bintulu, Sarawak.

JPMorgan Chase & Co has disposed of a total of 1.976 million shares or 0.46% stake in Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd from Jan 16 to 28. Filings to Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, showed the US bank had started disposing of Muhibbah shares since Jan 16 when the share price was at a five-month high on Jan 16.

YS, usually sebab the public listed companies keep on issuing new shares to fund debts and working capital, the more debts they have the more shares mereka terbitkan, MAS another good example. Usually this kind of counters susah nak naik, attract more traders than investors...IMAO

Years ago I have a business associate, he and one american guy met Dr Ken, at that time in Sapura, they nego, keep on nego, keep on talking and talking in the end the american friend said Dr Ken is a hungry tiger. LOL So if he is really hungry I don't mind buying shares in his company LOL
