KUALA LUMPUR (May 6): Seputeh MP Teresa Kok was charged with sedition over her ONEderful Malaysia video clip in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today. She pleaded not guilty and bail has been set at RM4,000. Kok was charged under Section 4(1)(c) of the Sedition Act 1948. Should she be found guilty, as a first time offender, she is liable to be fined up to RM5,000, jailed up to three years or both. A stiff sentence may cause her to be disqualified as an MP.
