NWP Holdings Bhd is forming a joint venture with NWP Lao Industries Co Ltd (NLI) to venture into timber related
businesses and upgrade the existing manufacturing facility in Vientiane, Laos.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, it said the joint venture with NLI will provide NWP with abundant timber supply at competitive prices, low labour costs and incentives granted by the government of Laos for downstream activities.

NWP said it will fund the investment through internally generated funds. -- Bernama
