KUALA LUMPUR: 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) said initial probes on the former PetroSaudi staff arrested for attempted blackmail and extortion in relation to proprietary email information belonging to PetroSaudi shows that some leaked emails were tampered with.

In a statement here, 1MDB said it was confident the lawful authorities would thoroughly investigate, establish the facts and take appropriate action under the law.

"1MDB also pledges its full co-operation with the lawful authorities in their ongoing investigations on this matter," it said. -- BERNAMA
