SAMAIDEN CLINCHES SIGNIFICANT SOLAR CAPACITIES IN CGPP, AMPLIFYING CLEAN ENERGY FOOTPRINT

Samaiden Continues to Advance Towards a Greener Future with a Landmark Clean Energy Projects


PETALING JAYA, 9 NOVEMBER 2023  Samaiden Group Berhad ("Samaiden"), a renewable energy (“RE”) specialist principally involved in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (“EPCC”) of solar photovoltaic (“PV”) systems and power plants is proud to announce on its wholly-owned subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn. Bhd.’s significant win in the latest Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) by the Energy Commission (“EC”).

Elevating its profile in the RE industry, Samaiden Sdn. Bhd. has been awarded an individual export capacity of 13.42 megawatts (“MWac”). In a synergistic consortium with Premier Supreme Sdn. Bhd., Samaiden has additionally secured a substantial quota of 29.90 MWac, asserting its dedication and capability in the solar power domain. This endorsement by the EC solidifies Samaiden's strategic position in the sector, with a total capacity won amounting to impressive 43.32 MWac.

The EC's rigorous selection process has identified Samaiden among 10 successful candidates from a competitive pool of 46 applicants. The second batch of awardees will share a combined export capacity of 236.58 MWac. This achievement not only highlights the competitive edge of Samaiden but also its role in contributing to Malaysia’s RE targets.

This project is not just a step towards achieving Samaiden’s vision for a sustainable future which embedded in their 5 years strategic roadmap but is also a reflection of Malaysia’s growing commitment to combating climate change and bolstering the utilisation of green energy.
