Strong response to Bezza

KUALA LUMPUR: The booking for Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd’s (Perodua) first Energy Efficient Sedan, Bezza has reached 19,000 units while nearly 6,000 units are in the process of delivery by today.

“As of yesterday, 5,000 Perodua Bezzas has been successfully delivered since it was launched on July 21 and we expect to deliver a total of 1,000 units by end of today,” Perodua president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said in a statement.

“We are very thankful to the Malaysian public for their support and for choosing us as their automotive brand of choice. We are now focusing our efforts on timely delivery of the Perodua Bezza to our valued customers,” he added.

The breakdown of deliveries are 42% for the Perodua Bezza 1.3L Advance Version, 43% for the Perodua Bezza 1.3L Premium X and 15% for the Perodua Bezza 1.0L variants.

The “A” segment compact sedan is the first Perodua vehicle which upper body was fully designed by Malaysians. The design of the Bezza began in 2014 with the support of Perodua’s partner Daihatsu of Japan.

Perodua invested RM300mil to develop the Bezza and the model has 95% local content.

The Perodua Bezza is produced at its’ EEV-certified plant, the Perodua Global Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, which is a highly modern facility with over 75% automation rate (the same plant which produces the Perodua Axia).

The sedan name takes inspiration from the word ‘Beza’ in Bahasa Malaysia, which means ‘different’. And that is exactly what Perodua’s first energy efficient sedan is – distinctly different.

The Perodua Bezza, today with prices ranged from RM37,300 for its 1.0L standard G (Manual transmission) to RM50,800 for its 1.3L Advanced variant (Automatic Transmission).

The car comes in 6 different colours, which include Sugar Brown and Ocean Blue for 1.3L variants, which are new metallic colours for Perodua, as well as existing colours of Lava Red, Ebony Black, Glittering Silver & Solid Ivory White. Perodua uses eco-friendly water based paint which also provides a better finish.

“Please visit any of our showrooms nationwide to see, touch and test drive the Bezza, especially the 1.0L variants. You will be amazed,” Aminar said.
