9 January 2018, Penang, Malaysia - Iretex Corp Bhd former director Felix Chin Wui Choong has apologised to Dato Larry Tey Por Yee on defamatory allegations. Felix Chin made defamative allegations, which followed by reports and lawsuits based on such alledged information. According to The Edge, Felix Chin Wui Choong which is at the material time an Executive Director of Iretex, had coluded with few other directors of Iretex and self defined and described Iretex business suspeciously to paint Dato Larry negatively. Felix Chin Wui Choong has no shares in Iretex and was hired leas than 1 year by Iretex.

Iretex Corp bhd which saw over 90% shareholders voted not in favor of Felix Chin Wui Choong and others in both EGM and AGM, had since removed Felix Chin Wui Choong and others. Iretex had since review the shareholders accepted audited account and alleged disputed material, had drop the baseless lawsuit on Dato Larry and others.

Dato Larry Tey filed a defamation lawsuit against Felix Chin Wui Choong last year following remarks Chin made in an e-mail to update the company's heads of department on the outcome of a board meeting held on March 13, 2017. Chin was still an executive director of the company then.

Later in a separate meeting, Dato Larry Tey told The Edge Financial Daily that Chin's apology proved his innocence.  "I think the Court is fair and just, and I think my reputation has been restored by fairness. I am a credible business man and I proved to all today that I am innocent," Tey said.
