Worldwide, countries are introducing programmes where people who need it most are given money directly. These are called cash transfer programmes. But of course there are many concerns: do people become lazy, less hardworking, or dependent on government? We get an overview from Rema of programmes she’s studied across the globe. We also speak to Lee Heng Guie to have a look at our very own programme, BR1M.

Down the road BR1M will be RM10,000 per year :-) By then we will see a lot of unemployed ppl, not because no job but because got buta money from govt, why work?
