Last year, SUKA Society ran a series of workshops with children from the indigenous, refugee and rural communities, among others, to seek their opinions. The children gave their views on a range of issues, including education, health, the environment, and their right to play and live without fear, violence and exploitation. Wong Chen Li from SUKA Society explains why she thought this Children Opinion Series was needed, and why they have decided to focus on children’s view of their parents. SUKA has developed what they’ve learned from these workshops into three booklets, “Speaking Your Child’s Love Language,” “It’s Okay to Ask for Help,” and “When Parents Fight, Children Suffer.” All three are available on its website: http://www.sukasociety.org/resources/
