Last week, the Malaysian Academic Movement (MOVE) held a town hall session with Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik. Among the issues discussed were MOVE’s 10-point proposal to bring academic freedom, excellence and meritocracy back to local universities. We speak to MOVE’s chairman Professor Dr Zaharom Nain about the town hall’s outcome.
