We continue our conversation about EPF's survey on the cost of living in KL from yesterday with Azam of IDEAS.

There’s been a lot of reaction and discussion generated from the findings of the survey, and whether the expenditure suggestions are realistic. So we asked Azam to helps us analyse this further.

BODOH! cost of living is more important than wage!
example: what's the point if u earn RM10k/month but 1 roti canai at road side stall cost RM5? Back in the old days, our parents earn rm5k/month but that can buy a lot of things already. Roti canai was only 30sen!

THis just goes to prove: It's not how much u earn, it's how much u can buy with what u earn (ie. cost of living)!
