There’s a huge spike in COVID-19 cases this past month, with more than 5,000 new daily cases over three consecutive days alone. But there’s also been a lot of public burnout when it comes to observing COVID-19 SOPs, what experts have termed ‘pandemic fatigue’. At the same time, some of those SOPs haven’t exactly been consistent. So we’re diving into how policymakers might be able to better approach these SOPs by understanding people’s psyche - what might better encourage them to adhere to restrictions and not feel so burnt out.
