It’s been a tumultuous year for students in Malaysia, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The sudden shift to online learning has contributed to the widening education disparity between those in the middle class and the poor who lack access to digital devices and the internet. We speak to YB Maszlee Malik on the state of education in Malaysia over the past year, as well as his various initiatives to help students.
