The recent plan by DBKL to encourage the culture of walking by closing Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman every Sunday has got us wondering about whether our cities are designed to be walkable. The walkability of a city goes beyond just having pedestrian pavements, and involves a lot more other factors.
