An X user shared that she and her friends discuss how much they earn, as a way to gain insight into their careers and how to negotiate for a fair salary - which led us to ask, do you discuss what you make with your friends? This opened a discussion on what is often viewed as a sensitive subject, with listeners both in support of this sort of openness, and also pointing out why it might be uncomfortable or problematic.
