Sunrise Bhd, a Malaysian developer, jumped the most in more than nine years in Kuala Lumpur trading after receiving a takeover offer from UEM Land Holdings Bhd which valued the company at RM2.80 a share.
The stock gained 21.8 per cent to RM3.07 at 9:07 am local time, set for its biggest increase since April 11, 2001.
UEM climbed 4.9 per cent to RM2.37, set for its largest rise since September 30. -- Bloomberg
