KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 5): Kelington Group Bhd has won a RM330 million contract from “a world leader in semiconductor solutions”, raising to RM1.28 billion the total orders it has received so far this year.
This, the group said, is a fresh record in terms of value of new contract wins, surpassing last year’s total new orders of RM1.19 billion. It also brings the group’s current order book to RM1.87 billion.
In a statement on Monday (Sept 5), Kelington said ts wholly owned subsidiary Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd won an ultra-high purity (UHP) contract worth about RM330 million. The group did not provide the name of the company that awarded the contract.
Under the contract, Kelington will be undertaking the bulk and specialty gas system distribution works for the customer’s expansion of its current manufacturing facility in Kulim, Kedah.
The project will commence this month and is slated for completion by September 2024, said Kelington.
Gan said Kelington has received a surge in bidding invitations from its existing and new customers across its key operating markets, which include Malaysia, Singapore, China, and Taiwan.
“This is a good indicator for us, as we target to maintain our strong pace of order replenishment moving forward.”
Kelington shares closed two sen or 1.64% higher at RM1.24 on Monday, valuing the group at RM800.11 million.
