Bintai Kinden Bags RM22 Mil Contracts to Build Houses in Muar

KUALA LUMPUR (June 11): Mechanical and electrical services specialist Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd (KL:BINTAI) has secured two sub-contracts with a combined value of RM22.3 million to build double-storey houses in Muar, Johor.

In a bourse filing on Tuesday, Bintai Kinden said its unit Kejuruteraan Bintai Kindeko Sdn Bhd received the sub-contract works from Lu Chin Poh Construction Sdn Bhd.

The first sub-contract, valued at RM7.6 million, involves the construction of eight units of double-storey semi-detached houses.

The second sub-contract, valued at RM14.7 million, includes the construction of 21 units of double-storey terrace houses. Both sub-contracts also entail related infrastructure works.

Both projects have a 15-month construction period, with an expected completion date by September 2025.

In a statement, its managing director cum chief executive officer Datuk Tay Chor Han said these sub-contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings over the next two financial years.

“These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to expanding our footprint in the construction sector and leveraging our expertise to deliver quality engineering solutions,” he added.

Bintai Kinden's share price closed 0.5 sen or 6.3% higher at 8.5 sen, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM104 million.
