Cuscapi has appointed MYEG director as executive chairman of the company

KUALA LUMPUR (March 28): Cuscapi Bhd has appointed Datuk Mohd Jimmy Wong Abdullah as executive chairman of the company, filling a post left vacant after Datuk Larry Gan retired on March 20.

Wong's appointment is effective immediately. 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the technology solutions provider said Wong, 55, is currently an independent director of MY E.G. Services Bhd.

Wong began his career with the Royal Malaysian Police, starting off as a new recruit. In 1994, he was stationed on a two-year diplomatic mission in Wisma Putra in Guangzhou, China until 1996. 

During his service with the police, he was promoted several times and had risen from the ranks before retiring in 2002.

In a separate filing, the group announced Toe Teow Teck, 47, has been appointed executive director. Toe has more than 20 years of entrepreneurship and financial sector experience.

He is also currently the chairman of ICH Group Ltd, which is engaged in private equity and venture capital investment.

At 2.54pm, Cuscapi shares were down 2 sen or 4.82% at 39.5 sen, with 2.32 million shares done, for a market capitalisation of RM302.74 million.
