HAMBURG: You can re-read a text message before sending it, but until now, WhatsApp would not let you listen to your audio messages before sending them off.

But as part of a newly launched feature that keeps your recording buffered until you delete it or send it, you can now preview your WhatsApp message to make sure your it's audible and there aren't any mistakes.

To use this new feature, you tap and hold the microphone symbol, slide it upwards and record your message.

You then push the pause button, which gives you the opportunity to play back the message using the play key. After that, you can send the message by hitting the blue arrow.

Alternatively, you can also continue the message and record more by hitting the microphone symbol again or else delete the message by tapping the trash symbol.
