BERLIN: Find your bookmarks, no matter what browser or device you're on - that's what Raindrop promises. The all-in-one bookmark manager works as a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, and there are also apps for iOS and Android.

These can all be downloaded from the Raindrop website. The basic service is free and should be enough for most users.

Bookmarks can be tagged and stored in folders or collections. The bookmarks are freely searchable and there’s a preview function for bookmarked pages. You can also import and export bookmarks.

If you don't want to entrust your data to a service and prefer to store your bookmarks encrypted in your own online storage (such as Google Drive, Nextcloud or any WebDAV-enabled storage), you can take a look at Floccus.

This open-source software also offers free bookmark synchronisation across devices and browsers, and a similar number of extensions and supported devices as Raindrop.
