Gold prices steadied on Wednesday as the U.S. dollar eased off a three-week high, following an earlier drop in bullion to a one-year low as bullish comment from U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell boosted the greenback.

The S&P 500 rose to its highest in more than five months and the Dow climbed for a fifth session on Wednesday as solid earnings boosted financial and industrial stocks and reinforced expectations for a strong second-quarter reporting season.

 

Hong Kong shares fell slightly on Wednesday, with risk appetite curbed by renewed yuan weakness.

FKLI

FKLI finally showed some light in the tunnel by climbing up steadily for 34-points yesterday, from day's low 1725 to the day's high at 1759 and closed at the peak. The market was said stamping foot well on the support levels and inching up gradually along with the strong KLCI, despite the regional was slightly mixed in direction especially Hong Kong's was down.

FCPO experienced some upwards progression on Wednesday, lifted the price to 2218 and settled at 2211. Dalian and soybean oil are mixed today while Ringgit stays weak at RM4.05 against the greenback.
