Gold prices pared gains on Tuesday after U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed he would meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping at an international summit, fanning hopes that an end to the U.S.-China trade dispute could be nearing.

U.S. stocks surged on Tuesday and the S&P 500 approached a record high after Washington rekindled trade talks with Beijing, boosting sentiment along with growing investor confidence that the U.S. Federal Reserve will cut interest rates this year.

 

Hong Kong stocks closed higher on Tuesday, extending a rally from the previous session, aided by strong inflows from the mainland even as the protests subsided.

FKLI sustained above 1635.5 and had a surge at the final trading hour to 1651 before it then closed at 1647. The market seems to have found the light at the end of tunnel and started to show a clear picture by stamping its foot above the supports level.

FCPO started off strong on Tuesday's morning, later lost its upside momentum and turn around the flow towards the second half. Dalian and soybean oil are slightly weak today while Ringgit stays at RM4.17 against the greenback.
