这一季,Engineering & Construction (E&C)部门由于在卡塔尔的一个客户拖账,导至拔备减值了RM1.7亿。WCT控股也有外汇亏损RM2000万。所以这部门的营运亏损是RM3300万。
WCT REIT的上市已不可能因为AEON Co. (M)起诉了Gemilang Waras Sdn. Bhd.(子公司)(http://www.bursamalaysia.com/…/company-announcements/5629225)。在2017年12月6日,WCT控股宣布Gemilang Waras Sdn. Bhd.已在2017年12月4日反起诉AEON Co. 在资产负债表,库存增到RM4.6亿,‘应收账款’增到RM14亿,和‘关联方的欠款’增到RM3.7亿。
前景:
E&C部门在2017年拿到了几个基建的合约,总值约RM20亿。产业市场疲软,产业发展部门会更谨慎地推出新项目。

In the last quarter, the Engineering & Construction Division (E&C) recognised an impairment of an amount due from a contract customer in Qatar amounting to RM165m. The Group also registered an unrealised foreign exchange loss amounting to RM20m. As a result this segment recorded a loss from operations of RM33m.
The listing of WCT REIT is not possible now because of the on-going court suit by AEON Co. (M) against Gemilang Waras Sdn. Bhd. (an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company)(http://www.bursamalaysia.com/…/company-announcements/5629225). On 6 Dec 2017, WCT announced that Gemilang Waras Sdn. Bhd. had on 4 December 2017 filed its counterclaim against AEON Co. (M) Bhd (“the Plaintiff”) by way of a Notice of Application claiming for vacant possession of the Bandar Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre (“the Leased Property”) to be delivered to the Defendant as well as damages to be paid by the Plaintiff to the Defendant in the form of double rental in the amount of RM4838590.90 per month (calculated on the basis of a monthly rental of RM2419295.45) pursuant to section 28(4) of the Civil Law Act 1956 and/or alternatively, for damages to be assessed, calculated from 23 November 2017 until the date vacant possession of the Leased Property is delivered to the Defendant. WCT is alleging that AEON continued occupation of AEON Mall Bukit Tinggi constitutes trespass and holding over AEON Mall Bukit Tinggi after the expiration of the Lease Agreement on 23rd November 2017 (http://www.bursamalaysia.com/…/company-announcements/5630405).
On balance sheet, inventories increased to RM461m, 'Trade receivables' increased to RM1.4b, and 'Due from related parties' increased to RM367m.
Prospects:
The E&C secured a few infrastructure contracts in 2017 amounting to approximately RM2b. With a subdued property market outlook, the Property Development Division adopts a more cautious approach in launching any new project.
