截至2020年3月31日的季度的RM收入和营业利润分别比截至2019年3月31日的季度增加1％和3％至3560万令吉和1560万令吉（去年的收入：3510万令吉; 营业利润：1,510万令吉）。

QoQ：
宇琦科技本季录得除税前盈利1,650万令吉，而截至2019年12月31日止的上一个季度为2,050万令吉，因为：

a。由于季节性波动，上半年对集团产品和服务的需求相对较低，下半年需求达到顶峰（截至2020年3月31日的3个月收入：860万美元; 去年为940万美元）;和

b。报告期内，美元兑马来西亚令吉贬值。 （2020年3月31日：RM4.1226：USD1.00; 2019年12月31日：RM4.1801：USD1.00）;和

C。截至2020年3月31日止季度计入的衍生金融工具公允价值净亏损230万令吉，而去年衍生金融工具公允价值净收益为150万令吉。

前景：
据其所知，鉴于当前的COVID-19大流行加剧了全球经济的不确定性，宇琦科技预计本财政年度的美元收入会下降低双位数，因客户降低了需求。

[UCHI TECHNOLOGIES BHD: demand for the Group's products and services was comparatively lower in the first half of the year as a result of seasonal fluctuations]

Revenue in RM and Operating Profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2020 increased by 1% and 3% to RM35.6 million and RM15.6 million respectively as compared to the quarter ended March 31, 2019 (Revenue: RM35.1 million; Operating Profit: RM15.1 million).

QoQ:
The Group recorded a profit before taxation of RM16.5 million for the current quarter as compared to RM20.5 million in the immediate preceding quarter ended December 31, 2019 mainly due to:

a. demand for the Group's products and services was comparatively lower in the first half of the year as a result of seasonal fluctuations with demand peaking in the second half of the year (Revenue for 3 months ended March 31, 2020: USD8.6 million; December 31, 2019: USD9.4 million); and

b. depreciation of USD against Ringgit Malaysia during the reporting period. (March 31, 2020: RM4.1226:USD1.00; December 31, 2019: RM4.1801:USD1.00); and

c. the net fair value loss on derivative financial instruments of RM2.3 million accounted for in the quarter ended March 31, 2020 as opposed to the net fair value gain on derivative financial instruments of RM1.5 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2019.

Prospects:
To the best of their knowledge, in line with the current COVID-19 pandemic has heightened uncertainty over the global economy, the Group anticipates a low double-digit revenue in USD decline for the current financial year in comparison to that of the financial year ended December 31, 2019 due to their customers have lowered their demand.
