[HOCK SENG LEE BHD: order book currently is at RM3.4bil with an outstanding balance of RM2.2bil. The company’s only major launch will be Samariang Aman 3, a best-seller for over a decade. They’ll start with 126 units, single- and double-storey, terrace and semi-detached homes]
The net profit before tax of the Group for the current quarter is RM10.13 million as compared to RM18.76 million for the preceding year's corresponding quarter.
Construction segment: For the 3-month period ended 31 March 2020, the revenue and net profit before tax are RM101.25 million and RM6.86 million compared to the previous year’s corresponding quarter figures of RM125.68 million and RM12.12 million respectively.
Property development segment: For the 3-month period ended 31 March 2020, the revenue and net profit before tax are RM11.15 million and RM3.27 million compared to the previous year’s corresponding quarter figures of RM21.04 million and RM6.64 million respectively.
QoQ:
The net profit before tax of the Group for the current quarter is RM10.13 million compared to RM13.70 million for the immediate preceding quarter on the back of the Group’s revenue of RM112.40 million and RM187.63 million respectively.
Prospects:
HSL’s order book currently is at RM3.4bil with an outstanding balance of RM2.2bil. With substantial value of projects in hand, the challenge now is to manage their project execution efficiently under the present circumstances where there is acute labour shortages and disruption to material supplies. At the start of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), they are working at 30-40% productivity. The Group resumed work in June 2020 with strict compliance to their Safe Operating Procedure.
The company’s only major launch will be Samariang Aman 3, a best-seller for over a decade. They’ll start with 126 units, single- and double-storey, terrace and semi-detached homes. This year, after more than 30 years at its old address at Pending, HSL will move into its new headquarters. Located prominently at the busy Kuching-Samarahan Expressway, HSL Tower is a 10-storey Green Building Index certified office complex with shopping mall.
