Prasarana Malaysia said yesterday that prequalified contractors bidding to be  the  Project  Delivery  Partner  (PDP)  for  the  LRT  Line  3  (LRT3)  project have been notified to collect the tender documents from Wednesday. (Source: SunBiz)

Comments:  The  RM9bn  LRT  Line  3  project  links  Bandar  Utama  to  Shah Alam and Klang. Potential bidders for the PDP job include MRCB-George Kent-JV,  Sunway,  Gamuda  Bhd-MMC  Corp  JV,  UEM  Group-Naza  TTDI, and  WCT-AlloyMTD  JV.  Barring  any  delays  caused  by  re-alignments  or otherwise,  the  outcome  of  the  tender  should  be  known  in  3Q/4Q2015. There will be job opportunities for contractors after the appointment of the PDP.

Maintain  OVERWEIGHT  on  the  construction  sector.  It  has  been  reported that the 11th Malaysia Plan will be unveiled on 21 May 2015.
