Goldman Sachs said on Wednesday it has appointed former Credit Suisse executive Mark Davis as managing director and head of its Australian and New Zealand Equities division.

Davis is also set to become a member of Goldman Sachs' Australia and New Zealand Operating Committee, the Wall Street giant mentioned in its statement, adding that he would work closely with regional leadership to further the client franchise.

Prior to his latest appointment, Davis had served as the managing director and head of Global Markets Equities Australia at Credit Suisse in Sydney, and was among the top executives at Western Union Australasia.
