NEW YORK, Sept. 11 -- Oil prices advanced on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for October delivery went up 1.56 U.S. dollars, or 2.37 percent, to settle at 67.31 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery added 1.42 dollars, or 2.05 percent, to settle at 70.61 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
