BELGRADE, Nov. 22 -- The third Wine Vision by Open Balkan fair kicked off here on Friday, featuring wine, food, and tourism.

The three-day event, held at halls of the Belgrade Fair, focuses on sustainability, heritage, and modern tastes. More than 650 exhibitors from over 30 countries participated.

Highlighting the significance of the event at the opening ceremony, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic noted that "Exhibitors from Italy and China also make up a significant portion."

During the event, over 2,000 B2B meetings are scheduled, and more than 900 wine labels will be evaluated by experts, said Stevan Rajta, president of the Serbian Association of Winemakers and Winegrowers.

An international jury will assess regional wines in a wine trophy competition.

There will be also cooking competitions, workshops, and presentations by restaurants and hotels from Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania. Visitors can sample dishes paired with selected wines.
