Queries on Bursa Malaysia to BIOHLDG (KLSE:0179)

Dated 30th July 2021, Bursa had sent in a query for BIOHLDG's recent MOA with South Sudan.

So is the contract real, or fake?

The Board of Directors of Bioalpha Holdings Berhad (“Bioalpha” or “the Company”) wishes to inform that the Company has received Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s request dated 29 July 2021 for additional information in relation to the Company’s announcement made on 28 January 2021. The additional information are as follows:

 

1. The specify the relevant regulatory approvals required to be obtained to undertake the Covid-19 Testing Programme (“Programme”) and the estimated time-frame for submission of such applications.

 

The Covid-19 Testing Programme and the tests kits which includes PCR and RTK that provided by Bioalpha HK has been approved by Ministry of Health South Sudan and the  Programme is ready to commence immediately.

 

2. Whether a definitive agreement will be entered into subsequent to the MOA.

 

No definitive agreement will be entered into subsequent to the MOA. The MOA executed by Bioalpha HK and Crawford Laboratory was a final agreement.

 

3. The estimated total capital outlay or costs to be incurred for the collaboration between Bioalpha HK and Crawford Laboratory (“Collaboration”).

 

The intial investment of the Programme is USD 250,000.

 

4. The business risk or exposure and prospects of the Collaboration.

 

The Board of Directors does not foresee any exceptional risks other than the normal operational risks associated with the Programme. The prospect of the Collaboration is expected to expand to other borders checkpoints within South Sudan when the Programme is implemented by Ministry of Health South Sudan.

 

This announcement is dated 30 July 2021.
