Sapura Energy secured RM760mil in contract wins for its Drilling and Engineering & Construction businesses, lifting value of contract wins to RM9.3bil. The growing order book will see a higher utilisation of its assets as it gears up for long-term growth across its Services segment.

Sapura Energy successfully raises RM4bil from Rights Issue. 23 Jan

Sapura Energy raised approximately RM4bil from its rights issue exercise which closed on 16 January 2019. For its Islamic redeemable convertible preference shares (RCPS-i), the Group saw just above 100 per cent of valid acceptances and excess applications.

Sapura Energy see more jobs in the horizon in addition to the US$14.3bil already in prospects despite a sharp decline in oil price to below US$60 a barrel. It believes the current oil price level will not put a brake on contract flows in the years to come.

Sapura Energy secures RM1.3b new wins. 12 Apr

Sapura Energy bagged 5 new contracts valued at RM1.3bil for its engineering and construction as well as drilling segments. Among them the submarine rescue service contract for the Royal Australian Navy, which is a first undertaking for the group. It also marked a new entry into Egypt for works in the Gulf of Suez, along with other wins across Malaysia and Indonesia.

Sapura Energy awarded 10 new contracts for its Engineering & Construction and Drilling segments, valued at approximately RM1bil. The new contract wins, secured across Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Australia, include Sapura Energy’s first offshore wind farm contract. In addition, it has been selected for a frame agreement with Petronas for fixed offshore structure works.

Sapura Energy Q1 FY20 financials improve on revenue growth, E&C performance and post-corporate exercises. 27 June

Sapura Energy continued to improve financials for the first quarter ended 30 April 2019 (Q1FY20) on strong revenue growth in core business segments and materialisation of effects from its corporate exercises, namely the rights issue and partnership with OMV.

Sapuraomv Upstream’s wholly-owned subsidiary sapuraomv Upstream (Sarawak) Inc. and its partners, Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd and Sarawak Shell Bhd signed the full-term Upstream Gas Sales Agreement (UGSA) with Petronas for the Gorek, Larak and Bakong fields under the first development phase of the SK408 Production Sharing Contract (PSC).

Sapura Energy narrows net loss on improving revenue in Q2 FY20. 27 Sept

Sapura Energy financial results for period ended 31 July 2019 (Q2 FY20), registered an 87pc improvement in revenue at RM1.9bil, compared to RM1bil in the previous corresponding quarter (Q2 FY19). As a result, the Group narrowed its net loss to RM116.3mil during the quarter, compared with a net loss of RM199.2 million in Q2 FY19.

Sapura Energy secures RM615mil in new contracts and contract extensions. 5 Dec

Sapura Energy secured several new contracts and contract extensions for its Engineering and Construction (E&C) as well as Drilling segments. The contracts valued at approximately RM615mil, brings the total order book year-to-date to RM15.1bil, which will increase work volume and utilisation of assets.

Sapura Energy continues to trim net losses on strong revenue in first 9 months of FY20. 5 Dec

For the first 9 months ended 31 Oct 2019 (FY20), Sapura Energy registered a 73pc growth in revenue at RM5.3bil, compared to RM3.1bil in the previous corresponding period. The improved revenue enabled the Group to further trim its net losses by 33pc to RM326mil in the 9-month period from RM483mil previously.
