Selangor govt against a full-blown MCO

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor government is against enforcing a full-blown movement control order (MCO) in the state, similar to the nationwide lockdown imposed in March last year.

Selangor Covid-19 Taskforce chairman Dzulkefly Ahmad said the state was still managing the Covid-19 situation well, adding that its infectivity rate was lower than that of Kelantan and Pahang.

Dzulkefly said this in a joint press conference with Selangor health executive councillor Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud today.

Earlier this week, health minister Dr Adham Baba said the health ministry was considering enforcing stricter SOPs or even a full-scale MCO in Selangor if the state fails to curb the spread of Covid-19.

He was asked why the MCO rules in Selangor were the same as in other states, despite its higher number of infections.

I hope a strong and capable to see and manage risks goverment not ignoring or egotism goverment.

Rakyat need a strong and wise goverment not just talk government whom doesn't even look at the risk that facing to the peoples.

Common sense lah, "manage well" ????? How come the covid cases consistently at 1,000 over and today over 2,000 ????
