NETIZENS have applauded newly-minted Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook for a job well done following news of how promptly escalators at LRT stations – which had been broken for years – were fixed as a result of his visit to some LRT stations to obtain a first-hand understanding of its issues.

Loke was also pictured with a non-functioning elevator, trying out the lift and inspecting a roof leak at the MRT Muzium Negara station, which connects to the LRT at KL Sentral.

There was also widespread disappointment towards the Rapid KL management as it took a minister to come and solve the issues that could easily be solved without the intervention of a higher up official, with some netizens even questioning the role of Rapid KL’s management team.
